Island to Ireland Tour

Coast Boats once again h

it the road for and Epic journey to Cork in Ireland.

After a mammoth road trip and a few Guinness, Mersea Island rowing club supported by the coast boat team were once again on the water taking part in the Ocean to City Race. A gruelling battle of endurance covering 28Km, in under 3 Hours.

The course out of Crosshaven, headed out to sea, and then turned and headed back into calmer waters turning at the Spit light house and following the river up to cork its self.

Reuben in a Lite Race was the first boat home on the Ocean course to win the 1st Single sliding seat prize

Gavin and Toby in a Lite Double won the 1st 2x sliding seat prize.

After a few more Guinness the pain slowly drifted to a memory and plans for the trip are already under way for next year’s event.
